St. Patrick's Month

I can't believe that tomorrow will be the month of March. As some people refer to it as St. Patrick's Month. Many Irish events will take place during this time. The highlights are usually the parades. In Rhode Island the cities of Pawtucket, Newport, West Warwick and Providence hold parades. Something new this year, in conjunction with the Providence St. Patrick's Day Parade on March 21st, there will be a 5K race. Check out http://www.stpats5k.com and http://www.newportirish.com.

Podcasts

I have spent the afternoon catching up on listening to The Irish and Celtic Music Podcast on my mp3 player. I have been behind a couple of podcasts. I like this podcast because it airs a variety of music from traditional to rock. If you are looking for some Irish music, listen to this.

Newport Irish Festival

This is the weekend for the Newport Irish Festival. I am hoping to go to it. Black 47 is performing on Saturday evening. I'm not sure what day I'll be attending, but it is a good time on any day.
